Geekfest: Sharing Code between Server and Client with Node.js
Sharing Code between Server and Client with Node.js by Chris Powers
One of the most exciting promises of building Web servers in JavaScript has been the notion of sharing JavaScript code between server and client -- no more duplication of application logic! Still, despite the meteoric rise in Node's popularity, we still have very few tools and examples of how to effectively share code between environments. The reason is simple -- sharing code is harder than it looks!
Chris Powers will be sharing some of the lessons he has learned about sharing code from working on his Drumkit.js framework. Come prepared to learn what works (and what doesn't) and start DRYing up your own code!
What is Geekfest?
